The Citysearch Contributors
By Patrick Heig, San Francisco Editor
Ever wonder how we stay up on SF’s ever-evolving crop of new businesses? Or how we figure out where to get connoisseur-grade coffee to wake us up after drinking more than 100 beers? Or how we put together a list of sun-drenched public rooftops where you can hike up your best jeans and tan those pasty SF stems? We’re good, but we’re not that good. Our secret weapon is our Contributors group--a savvy team of influential SF insiders who tip us off to everything from where they had their first gastrorgasm to where they indulge their inner redneck.
If you know every nook, cranny and back-alley speakeasy in SF, write us here, join our ranks, and get on the list for our always-free, always-fun events.

Cantina

Catch homegrown comics on the rise--and the cheap--or take a stand up workshop at this underground comedy club seven floors up in Union Square.

Opaque-Dining in The Dark
Crimson Lounge at 689 McAllister Street, San Francisco, CA
On the average night at this concept restaurant, a prix-fixe, three-course meal is served in the pitch black. The special menu for our event featured tuna tartare on won ton crisps and sun-dried tomato fritters. After feeling our way through these savory bites, we popped our miracle fruit and sampled plates of lemons, glasses of Guinness and other miracle-fruit-compatible tastes. -
Jade Bar
650 Gough St, San Francisco, CA
This Hayes Valley bar has long been an after-work it spot due to ridiculously low happy-hour prices. (Think $2 well cocktails and drafts.) On this night, the whole crew headed here after our meal for cocktails, absinthe and an ecstatic, slightly drunken post-dinner recap.
