After-Hours Clubs in the City
By Patrick Heig, San Francisco Editor
Bars and clubs in SF close way too early--ever feel like you're just coming into your own at 2am?--but there are a select few clubs that kindly stay open at least a couple of hours later--and a couple that stay open way too long (we mean you, End Up!)
-
Mezzanine
444 Jessie St, San Francisco, CA
An NYC vibe with VIP touches permeates this slick, industrial mega-club and live music spot in SoMa, where the party goes until 4am Friday nights and 7am Saturday nights. -
Mighty
119 Utah St, San Francisco, CA
This raucous, bass-spewing, dance club and music venue at the base of Potrero Hill hosts everything from indie band to world-famous electronic DJs; the latter often spin until 4am. -
EndUp
401 6th St, San Francisco, CA
A motley (to put it gently) crowd and a patio that gets warms up when the sun comes up at 6am--yeah, the club will still be open then--make this legendary hard-partiers' after-hours spot in SoMa the go-to club for those with no interest in sleeping. -
1015 Folsom
1015 Folsom St, San Francisco, CA
Massive urban dance venue with multiple floors and atmospheres stays open until daylight on weekends (Fri 10pm-6am; Sat 10pm-7am). -
OTIS LOUNGE
25 Maiden Ln, San Francisco, CA
A low-key group hangs out at this Maiden Lane lounge until 4am on Friday and Saturday nights. -
Slide
430 Mason St, San Francisco, CA
This signless underground club (which stays open until 3am Wednesday through Saturday nights) is a throwback to the speakeasy-prohibition era. -
Ruby Skye
420 Mason St, San Francisco, CA
Need another hour of dancing after Slide closes? Head next door to this downtown palace, where the party keeps going until 4am Thursday through Saturday nights. -
Crash Night Club
34 Mason St, San Francisco, CA
Tommy Lee frequently guest-DJs at this gritty, triple-decker nightclub with go-go dancers and six VIP rooms. The debauchery doesn't end until 4am. -
Club Six
60 6th St, San Francisco, CA
This hip-hop lounge-club pioneer in on gritty Sixth St. near Market stays thumping until the wee hours on weekends (Fri-Sun 9pm-4am). -
Duplex
1525 Mission St, San Francisco, CA
This sleek SoMa club--which stays open until 3am Tuesday through Thursday nights and 4am on Friday and Saturday nights--attracts an upscale crowd. -
DNA Lounge
375 11th St, San Francisco, CA
A bi-level, multi-room club on the 11th St. nightlife corridor in SoMa that hosts everything from mud-wrestling matches to all-night elector disco dance parties usually closes well after 2am--sometimes as late as 6 in the morning. -
Suite one8one
181 Eddy St, San Francisco, CA
The bridge-and-tunnel crowd are the bread-and-butter of this cheesy club on a a super-sketchy block of the Tenderloin, but it does keep the music going till 4am most nights.
