the location is great, but everything about this place just stinks. if someone were to invest a good chunk of money and effort into it, this could be a great place in a beautiful coastside town a short hop from san francisco. i booked a room there for my mother when she was visiting the area. the handle on the toilet broke after the first flush, there were stains on the chairs, and the place seemed to need quite a bit of maintenance. i booked a room there one other time, and couldn't even stay the whole night. the chairs were so dirty and stained, i refused to sit in them. the maintenance guy brought in chairs from another room to fix the problem. the jacuzzi tub was not working, so the maintenance guy had to come back and fix the problem. a short while later, the jacuzzi tub stopped working again. i really hope that this place is bought up by an investor interested in making this the grand place it should be. lots of potential with this place.

The First Night: They offer 24 hour check in. That was the good thing. We arrived to our room which promised "Ocean View on Shared Community Deck" and looked more like a parking deck. It was COLD. The heaters were not on in the room. I mean, the small wall unit heater behind the couch. We turned it on and it blew luke-warm air. The room was large, sparse, and cold. There was a hole in the bathroom wall. Shivering, we went to sleep. The Next Morning: No room service. No coffee Maker. The website says room service is available. It is not unless the seperate resturant isn't busy. No free WI-FI. The site makes it sound like that, but it is free if you remembered that bulky jack that plugs into the data port. Um, 1997? Fed up, and unwilling to stay another night, I go downstairs to check out. The lady in the PBX room (I guess that;s what it was) sees me and doesn't say hello. The phone rings. And rings. And rings. She finally walks to the reception area and when she finishes her conversation, she turns to hide in her office again. I had to say excuse me, just for her to look at me. I told her the heater wasn't working. "Sorry." I told her there was a hole in the bathroom wall. "sorry." I told her we were checking out. "okay." And that was that. Horrid. Never again.
